Duluth-based, multi-disciplinary artist Jess Morgan works as poet, DJ, musician, educator and organizer. They published their first book, Too Many Hats, in March 2023 with Poetry Harbor, after receiving support from an Arrowhead Regional Arts Council grant. The collection follows their adventures juggling multiple jobs in the gig economy, exploring their non-binary gender identity and multi-generational healing. The poems serve as a love letter to their 20's, a period of time where they embraced their ADHD, learning to work with their divergence instead of against it.

Their next poetry collection is anticipated for printing in late April, 2025.

Jess can be found around town facilitating Deep Listening sessions, organizing zine festivals, writing for Perfect Duluth Day, DJing weddings or at local night clubs, providing education for abortion patients, presenting at events, or holding creative writing sessions for adults experiencing disability. Through all of their adventures, whether at the Art Shanty projects, Boubville, the Bent Broken circuit-bending festival or right in town, they bring along their playfulness, curiosity and grounding energy.
